Working In The Group

First we identified the tasks that will need to be accomplished.

The tasks were:

. Adobe Photoshop - cutting out images
. Adobe Illustrator - logo design. This would be a competition and the external client
would pick a favourite to be used on the website.
. Adobe Illustrator - table designs for the website.
. Colour swatches to be used on the website to the client's guidelines.
. Adobe Dreamweaver - HTML and CSS coding.

Next the whole class worked as a team to discuss who would take the lead of each task and to discuss who of the remaining people would do which task.

The lead for the cutting out images task was Matt as he was very confident in Adobe Photoshop and also uses it frequently. Myself, Dan, Peter and and Alex N also contributed with this task.

For the logo design task, they was no lead as everyone had to contribute to it.

The lead for the the table design work was Alex D and Gary as they suggested they are fairly confident using Adobe Illustrator

The lead for the colour swatches task was Alex N as he suggested he wasn't really confident in using the other software.

The lead for the HTML and CSS was Aarron as he knew alot about creating website. This is because he has his own website. It was additionally assigned to Matt, but he said he is awful in CSS coding. I contributed to this task as well by cleaning the HTML text given to us by the client. I did this by saving them as three different .html files. Then I checked the information for any illegal characters such as extra commas, letters etc. and cleaned them. Finally I saved them in a particular space so Aarron can have access to them to be used in his HTML coding task.

Working with the client:

We sent consent updates via email to the client saying how the website is getting. We also sent notifications of blog changes. Speaking with teacher who will then talk directly to the client.
